Our ribbon designs are inspired by the world around us. Living in Hawaiʻi, we draw inspiration from the vibrant colors of tropical flowers, native plants, ocean landscapes, sunsets, rainbows, and the cultural traditions that make these islands so special. You’ll find those influences throughout many of our collections.
We also find inspiration in everyday moments, art, travel, celebrations, and the creative community that surrounds us. Sometimes a design starts with a flower blooming in the garden, a color combination spotted on a hike, or a memory from a special event. Other times, it’s simply a desire to create something beautiful that helps others express their own creativity.
Every design we create is an original Rivan Ribbons design. While we may be inspired by nature, culture, and the world around us, we do not copy the work of other ribbon designers or manufacturers. Each ribbon is thoughtfully developed from concept to final product, resulting in unique designs that reflect our passion for creativity, craftsmanship, and self-expression.

We provide a wide range of satin ribbons including solid colors, ombres, and specialty designs.
Yes, we offer custom length options to suit your specific project needs, upon request. However, most rolls are sold in 100-yard rolls unless otherwise specified.
Currently we only carry 7/8″ (22mm).
To preserve their shine and texture, gently hand wash satin ribbons and air dry them. Use a flat iron, low setting, to iron out wrinkles. Use a lighter or candle to singe away frayed edges.
We offer a kama’aina discount of 10% off our custom designed collections. This is applied to orders that are placed from Hawai’i.
We also offer free Standard USPS shipping for all orders over $99.

Order Processing
All orders are processed within 24 hours during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday.
Once your order has been processed, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor your shipment every step of the way.
Shipping Methods & Delivery Estimates
We ship all orders through USPS using either Ground Shipping or Priority Shipping.
Standard Ground Shipping
- Average delivery time: 3–5 business days
- Some locations may experience delivery times of up to 10 business days
Priority Shipping
- Estimated delivery time: 2–4 business days
Orders totaling $99 or more qualify for free Standard Ground Shipping.

Lost or Delayed Packages
If you have not received your package within 14 days of placing your order, please contact us so we can assist in resolving the issue.
Damaged Packages

Please include your order number and photos of the damaged package or items. We will work directly with USPS to help resolve the issue and ensure your satisfaction.

At Rivan Ribbons, every ribbon begins with a story inspired by nature’s quiet artistry.
The creator behind Rivan Ribbons, Andrew Simmons, believes that some of the most beautiful designs already exist in the world around us — in the veins of a Ti leaf after the rain, the glow of a plumeria at golden hour, the rich tones of volcanic earth, or the gentle movement of ocean waves beneath a Hawaiʻi sunset.
Rather than creating colors and patterns from imagination alone, each ribbon is thoughtfully inspired by elements found in nature. Every gradient, stripe, and detail is carefully studied to reflect the beauty, balance, and elegance seen throughout creation. The colors are chosen with intention, drawing inspiration from real flowers, leaves, skies, oceans, and landscapes from Hawaiʻi and beyond.
Some collections are also inspired by flavors, local drinks, tropical refreshments, and island favorites that carry memories of Hawaiʻi life — from vibrant rainbow-inspired blends to the soft tones of plantation tea, tropical juices, piña coladas, lava flows, Blue Hawaiʻi, and other colorful beverages that reflect joy, celebration, and island living. These inspirations allow each ribbon to capture not only the beauty of nature, but also the feeling and atmosphere behind special moments and experiences.

While our ribbons are deeply connected to lei making and Hawaiʻi culture, they are not limited to just leis.
